Welcome, Liz! Elizabeth Bloch-Smith last dug with our group back in 1999 at Ashkelon. This summer, she joins Tel Shimron to lead excavation of the field half-way down the tel, and we are very excited to have her with us!

We made great progress digging today, as volunteers start to feel comfortable with new tools and learn excavation methods.
