Day Fourteen

Grid 33, situated on the top of the tel, has a spectacular view. When the day is clear you can see all the way to Haifa. You can also see the other three excavation areas on site.

The excavation area, or grid, in the center of the photograph is Grid 23/24 where we are currently excavating Roman period material. Grid 94, where we are excavating a courtyard and part of a building dating to the second century BC, is down the hill in the green field below Grid 23/24. Grid 92, where we are excavating Hellenistic and Middle Bronze Age material, is located on the left side of the photo within the trees.

It was another busy day in all four grids.
